Director’s Bio:

With a lifelong reverence for the art of storytelling, Gary Groth graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Media Arts Studies with an emphasis on directing and cinematography.

While at BYU, Gary directed several short films. "Lovestruck! The Musical" marks new territory for both Gary and the university as it is a feature-length musical. Applying the film theories studied in school, while pulling from examples of musicals from contemporary back to the 1950's, he and his team sought to make "Lovestruck! The Musical" a film that employs structures and cues of the traditional musical genre, while still maintaining a unique flavor.

Gary married his sweetheart and filmmaking partner, April, in 2013. They are planning to move to Los Angeles in August 2015 to tell stories together.
