About This Shorts Program

Michigan's state motto is “Si Quaeris Peninsulam Amoenam Circumspice” or “If you seek a pleasant peninsula, look about you.” All of the short documentaries in this program illustrate the beauty of Michigan and its natural resources, especially water.

This is Rich Brauer's third Soo Film Festival as a director.  In 2014, our very first year, we screened his feature films, Dogman and Dogman 2.  He returned in 2015 with Deadrise.
